🧾 Ingredients

For the Beef Tips

500–700 g beef stew meat (chunks)

2 tbsp oil or butter

1 onion, chopped

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 cups beef broth

1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp black pepper

Salt to taste

1 bay leaf (optional)

For the Gravy

2 tbsp flour

2 tbsp butter

Β½ cup cream or milk (optional for richness)

For the Mashed Potatoes

4–5 potatoes, peeled & cubed

2 tbsp butter

¼–½ cup milk

Salt & pepper


🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Beef

  1. Heat oil/butter in a pot.
  2. Add beef chunks and brown them on all sides.
  3. Add onions and sautΓ© until soft.
  4. Add garlic and cook 1 minute.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce

  1. Add beef broth, Worcestershire, paprika, pepper, bay leaf.
  2. Stir, cover, and simmer 1–1.5 hours until beef is tender.

(Or cook 35–40 min in pressure cooker.)

3️⃣ Thicken into Gravy

  1. In a small pan melt 2 tbsp butter, add 2 tbsp flour β€” mix to form a roux.
  2. Pour into the beef pot and stir until thick.
  3. Add cream if you want extra creamy sauce.
  4. Simmer 5 more minutes.
  5. Taste and adjust salt & pepper.
