Buttery Layered Pan Bread (No Oven)
🧾 Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp instant yeast
- 1 cup warm milk (or water)
- 2 tbsp oil
- 120–150 g soft butter (for layering)
👩🍳 Instructions
1️⃣ Make the Dough
- In a bowl, mix flour, salt, sugar, yeast.
- Add warm milk and oil.
- Knead until soft and smooth (8–10 minutes).
- Cover and let rise 1 hour until doubled.
2️⃣ Shape & Layer
- Divide dough into 8–10 balls.
- Roll each ball slightly flat.
- Spread soft butter on top.
- Stack 3–4 buttered pieces together.
- Gently flatten the stack into a thick disc.
3️⃣ Rest Again
- Cover and rest 15–20 minutes (important for softness).
4️⃣ Cook
- Heat a non-stick pan on medium-low.
- Cook each bread 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
- Flip gently; press lightly to help layers puff.

- Use low heat so inside cooks fully
- Butter can be mixed with cheese or herbs for flavor
- Serve with honey, cheese, eggs, or savory fillings
