Ingredients (10–12 patties)
- 4 large potatoes, boiled & mashed
- 1 cup mozzarella or melting cheese, sliced or shredded
- 2 tbsp cornstarch (or flour)
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp chopped parsley
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp paprika
- Salt to taste
- Oil or butter for frying
Instructions
- Prepare Potato Dough
- Mix mashed potatoes, egg, cornstarch, garlic, salt, pepper, paprika, and parsley.
- Mix until soft but workable.
- Stuff with Cheese
- Take a spoon of potato mixture.
- Place cheese in the center.
- Cover with another spoon and shape into a patty.
- Fry Until Golden
- Heat oil or butter in a pan over medium heat.
- Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side until crispy and golden.
- Serve Hot
- Garnish with parsley.
- Serve with garlic sauce, yogurt dip, or ketchup.
Pro Tips
- Use low-moisture mozzarella for the best cheese stretch
- Chill patties 15 minutes before frying to prevent breaking
- You can also bake at 200°C for 20 minutes, flipping halfway
