Crispy Chicken, Ham & Cheese Sliders (Oven-Baked)
These sliders are made with crispy chicken patties instead of bread, layered with ham and melted cheese, then baked until golden and juicy. Perfect for parties, meal prep, or a high-protein dinner.
Ingredients (Serves 4–6)
Chicken patties
- 600 g ground chicken
- 1 egg
- ½ cup breadcrumbs (or crushed cornflakes)
- ½ cup grated Parmesan
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp paprika
- Salt & black pepper to taste
Filling
- 8–10 slices ham (turkey or beef ham works well)
- 6–8 slices mozzarella or provolone cheese
Topping
- 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil
- 1 tbsp poppy seeds (or sesame seeds)
- ½ tsp dried oregano or Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the chicken mixture
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, egg, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. - Shape & bake patties
Form small square or round patties (slider size).
Place on a lined baking tray and bake at 190°C (375°F) for 18–20 minutes, flipping once. - Assemble sliders
On a baking dish, place one chicken patty, add ham and cheese, then top with another chicken patty. - Season the top
Brush tops with melted butter or oil. Sprinkle poppy seeds and oregano. - Final bake
Return to oven and bake 10–12 minutes until cheese is fully melted and tops are golden. - Serve
Rest 5 minutes, then serve hot.
Serving Ideas
- With garlic mayo or honey mustard
- Alongside salad or roasted potatoes
- Great for keto/low-carb when breadcrumbs are replaced with almond flour
